The Non-Instagramable Self-Care Routine
There is nothing wrong with a face mask, scented candles, and an at-home manicure – but sometimes that is not realistic when you’re feeling really low or anxious. So I want to make this post short, simple, and to the point. Here are some of my 10 personal ways of the more serious side of self-care when you need it most.
shower or bath
if the above is too hard, baby wipe or makeup wipe – armpits, neck, hands, legs – avoid sensitive areas
brush your hair and teeth
if the above is too hard – mouthwash and ponytail
eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner – order out if you have too
drink water
avoid anything that alters your mindset if you are not using it as a prescribed medication
change in the morning, even if its into a new pair of sweatpants
clean your bed sheets 1x a week
throw out trash as a minimum standard of tidying
The most important is: know this will pass, even if it doesn’t feel like it and people do love you.
